I am talking about the differences between the sports MMA and karate. Remember that a fight on the streets doesn’t have rules like in the UFC! They have great practitioners, masters, and grandmasters.

I personally think MMA is more useful because I don’t know where you could use those karate moves in a fight because if you tried to punch, then somebody would quickly take you down. I think Karate is more like dancing and performing open forms then training for real combat. I still have respect for people that prefer this kind of sport but think it is much less practical than MMA.

Otherwise the string tends to get jammed after the pants have been washed or is soaked in sweat.

To be effective the attack must be delivered at an upward angle to the rear of the knee. This kick can cause temporary weakness in the leg making it hard to stand, much less run.
